Fiscal policy in the perspective of EU accession
Aspects regarding the fiscal policy in the perspective of EU integration with focus on:
- The lasting of the positive evolutions of the Romanian economy (disinflation, GDP growth, a fiscal deficit below 3% of GDP and a current account deficit of 5-6% of GDP) and the sustainability of the economic growth;
- The financial indiscipline that has become almost structural, a fact proved by the dynamics of the arrears and the size of the underground economy;
- The budget and the quasifiscal deficits;
- The role of the incomes from labour export in covering the current account deficits;
- The intellectual control over the economic policies is essential for the establishment of realistic objectives and for their achievement;
