Guide for Authors

1. Papers must be in English, written in a concise manner because the value of the paper will be considered relative to its length.

2. Submission of a paper implies that it contains original work that has not previously been published (except in the form of an abstract or as an electronic preprint) and that has not being submitted for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere including electronically in the same form, in any other language, without the written consent of the copyright-holder. To verify compliance, the articles may be checked for similarity by originality or duplicate checking software.

3. Authors are required to disclose papers published or under review in other journals that are based on similar methods or data. Please cite and explain how the current paper differs from these similar papers.

4. An author wishing to submit a paper to the RJEF should send it by email to rjef_submit@ipe.ro . All correspondence, including notification of the Editor's decision and requests for revision, takes place electronically.

5. We require the manuscript file to be anonymous in order to administer double-blind peer review. Instead, the title page should be provided in  separate file, the 'cover letter', which contain the title of the paper and the detailed authorship information, specifying the corresponding author and also explaining why we should publish the manuscript emphasizing the novelty elements and why the paper represents a gain for the scientific community. The letter should also contain a declaration about the status of the paper as it is explained above at paragraph 2.

6. Before the accepted manuscript is published, requests to add or remove an author, or to rearrange the author names, must be sent to the Journal email contact  from the corresponding author of the accepted manuscript and must include: (a) the reason for the modification of authorship (b) written confirmation (e-mail, fax, letter) from all authors that they agree with the addition, removal or rearrangement (this includes confirmation from the author being added or removed). Requests that are not sent by the corresponding author will be forwarded to the corresponding author, who must follow the procedure as described above.
No other modifications to the papers will be admitted after the acceptance for publication.

7. The paper will not exceed 15-20 pages, including the references and annexes.

8. An abstract of maximum 10 lines is required. The abstract is one of the most important elements of your paper; many people will read only the abstract. Summarize the principal findings and how they were obtained; explain why the findings are important!

9. Keywords (at least five) are also required. There is no point repeating words that are in the title.

10. Also JEL (Journal of Economic Literature) classification code is required. Find this classification at https://www.aeaweb.org/journal/jel_class_system.html.

11. The paper must be in Word format, Margins: Top/Bottom 5.35cm/2.11", Inside/Outside 3.75cm/1.48", Font: Arial  Find all requierments enclosed in the file  https://ipe.ro/rjef_article.doc .

12. Quotations should be kept to a minimum. Authors must obtain written permission from the publisher to use a quotation that exceeds 250 words.

13. Figures should be high resolution with descriptive headings. The on-line version of a paper may include colour figures, but the print version will be in black and white.

14. Simplify the presentation of data. Round data to no more than three digits where possible. Organize tables and charts to aid understanding.

15. Authors should fully disclose their methods and data. The disclosure of data will be considered in the decision of whether to publish the paper.

16. References should include relevant sources, those which add further evidence or clarify the methodology.

In the text, references should appear for paper as "Klein (1984)", or for books as "Box & Jenkins (1970, p.245)". At the end of the manuscript, the references should be listed alphabetically by surname of the first author.
